Thanks to the Queensland Government for the opportunity to participate in yesterday’s Regional Community Forum in Bowen yesterday.
TSI’s General Manager Commercial and Agave, Michael Hennessy and Chris Monsour from Prospect Agriculture, our agronomist at the agave farm, were both invited to participate in the quarterly forum that brings local, regional and government representatives together to local priorities and opportunities to strengthen regional economies and services.
Forum participants, including Minister for Regional Development and Manufacturing Glenn Butcher, Minister for Tourism Industry Development and Innovation Stirling Hinchliffe, Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Shannon Fentiman, Member for Mackay and Assistant Minister for Health and Regional Health Infrastructure Julieanne Gilbert and Deputy Mayor Whitsundays Regional Council Mike Brunker, were also taken on a tour of our Australian-first Agave spirt farm.
More than 250,000 plants have now been planted at the farm as we create Australia's only locally-grown, harvested and distilled agave spirit category at scale.
